Abstract

Democracy is defined as the political power that depends on the people to make decisions. In Angola, the empowerment of Angolan women in politics in recent years has had positive results and this creates a healthy climate for the Angolan political system where women have a notable participation within the 3 powers such as the executive, legislative and judicial powers. Especially in the executive branch, the empowerment of Angolan women is one of the biggest in Africa with the participation of women in parliament. Political power is fundamental for the empowerment of women in other sectors with this it is necessary to continue to believe in the capacity of Angolan women in decision-making and to strengthen the participation of Angolan women in society which helps the recognition of women and gender equality. The objective of this project is to understand how in recent years Angolan women have gained space in Angolan politics, especially in parliament, since it is satisfactory because 52% of the Angolan population is made up of women.
