The Role and Strategy of Military District Command 0508/Depok in Helping the City Government to Accelerate the Handling of Covid-19 in Depok City

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the role and strategy of Military District Command 0508/Depok in handling Covid-19 in people's lives in Depok City. The involvement of Military District Command 0508/Depok, in this case, is an effo Neighborhood Association in carrying out the duties of OMSP following Law No. 34 of 2004 on TNI, which targets the threat of non-natural disasters, namely Covid-19, which can endanger the lives of the nation and state. This research uses qualitative research; data collection is conducted through interviews, literature studies, and field observations. The results of this study show that the potential conflicts that can occur due to Covid-19 can be faced with the form of Military District Command 0508/Depok cooperation and well-established Depok Government agencies. In addition, the solid form of coordination is the formation of Siaga Tangguh Jaya village as an extension of the city government at the neighborhood association and citizens association levels to oversee the handling of Covid-19 in the community. They provide masks, vaccination suppo Neighborhood Association, and logistics to communities affected by Covid-19 to help the economy and public health during the pandemic. Then effo Neighborhood Association s to increase cooperation occur at the level of quality of human resources from related agencies as means, namely strict and humanist law enforcement, discipline, and seriousness of the apparatus during operations become decisive elements in the quality of cooperation.
