Abstract

Meritocracy has been embedded in our minds since we were children. We have been raised to believe that merit and merit alone will help us advance. We attempt to find out if there is any truth to that, assuming that merit should be proportionately spread through the population if the higher judiciary reflects that proportion of the demographic and if we should consider in the future regarding the topic of the higher judiciary India and meritocracy in India.
