The conventional attendance systems that involve manual marking and record- keeping can be time-consuming and prone to errors, which can be minimized with face recognition-based attendance systems. This technology employs artificial intelligence to identify individuals by analyzing their facial features, making it a reliable and secure solution for tracking attendance. The proposed system involves capturing an image of the individual's face, followed by preprocessing, feature extraction, and matching with the stored images. The system can be integrated with the existing database and can generate real-time attendance reports, saving valuable time and resources for the institution. Overall, the smart attendance system using face recognition can simplify the attendance tracking process, enhance efficiency, and reduce the risk of errors, making it an ideal choice for modern-day institutions.
